DMI MFA Candidates Featured in MassArt 2012 MFA Thesis Exhibition

DMI congratulates MFA candidates Daniel Buckley, Shan Gao, Jaturont Jamigranont, Maria Stangel, and Nicole Tariverdian who are all featured in the MassArt 2012 MFA Thesis Exhibition. The exhibition, running through May 3, takes place in MassArt's Paine and Bakalar Galleries.  read more »

Fresh Media 2012: DMI Student Show, April 13 - April 20

The Dynamic Media Institute presents Fresh Media 2012, a week long exhibition featuring the latest work from the graduate students at DMI. Bringing their semester showcase off campus for the first time, this highly interactive event will take place in the heart of Boston's West End neighborhood, surrounded by the vibrance and culture of the historic North End and Beacon Hill. The show opens on Friday, April 13th at 6pm and goes through Friday, April 20th.  read more »

DMI Congratulates Alison Kotin, Winner of the SOLO 2012 Competition at Boston's Bromfield Gallery

DMI alumni Alison Kotin (MFA 2011) was recently selected by Boston's Bromfield Gallery as the winner of its SOLO 2012 Competition. Alison was awarded an all expenses paid solo show at the South End gallery.  read more »

DMI Announces Founding Members of its Advisory Council

We have exciting news to share with you. Dr. Katherine Sloan, President of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, recently authorized the establishment of the DMI Advisory Council. The DMI Advisory Council will help us in advancing the goals and stature of the Dynamic Media Institute and will strengthen the DMI outreach to the creative and design communities throughout New England. Christopher Field Thesis Exhibit, "Ordinary Human Unhappiness", March 12

"Ordinary Human Unhappiness" is an exhibition of MFA thesis work by Dynamic Media Institute student Christopher Field. Using video installation, physical space, and interactivity, the exhibit investigates emotional response to cinematic narrative conventions and the screen image through works developed over the past two years.  read more »

Krzysztof Wodiczko: Works, 2011 DMI Annual Lecture, March 18

The Dynamic Media Institute at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design presents Krzysztof Wodiczko: Works, the 2011 DMI Annual Lecture on Friday, March 18 at 6:00 pm. Wodiczko, a celebrated artist whose video and sound installations have appeared in galleries and public spaces on nearly every continent, will discuss his latest projects and explore the potential of video, performance, and public artworks to draw attention to the most important overlooked social issues of our time.  read more »
